Best Sandwich in America
So I checked out Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America & I liked it so I thought I would give you a short rundown of the first episode so you get the gist of it. The first episode was covering the Northeast region so he hit up Pittsburg first & ate at Primanti's & had their famous sandwich that has meat, cheese, fries, fried egg, tomato & slaw all between 2 fluffy pieces of thick texas toast style bread & the sandwich looked OK but not great & I love sandwiches.
The 2nd sandwich was in Philly & it was a sub style yummy looking bun with pork, provolone, broccoli rabe, and gravy. My mouth was watering the whole time I was watching this segment which took place at Dinic's. This sandwich was the winner between the 2 sandwiches in PA. This winner went up against the classic pastrami, corned beef, slaw & russian dressing on marble rye at Katz's famous deli (pictured).
After watching Adam eat those 2 sandwiches the Katz's was making my mouth water the most but only because I am a sucker for a good reuben/corned beef anything but Adam picked the pork sandwich from Dinic's as the best sandwich in the Northeast & I have to say that had I knows about this when I was on my road trip in PA I'd have made a detour to Philly to go to Dinic's & eat that sandwich! Obviously at each place we get to see how the sandwiches are made & hear from the locals who love them.
