Favorite new shows

Well I've tuned in to a few new shows that have come up this season & for the most part I like them all.  I've picked up Jackie Warner's new show Thintervention and it's quite entertaining since I'm a fan of hers & I enjoy the people who are on it for the most part with the exception of Stacy.  Nikki (pictured) is definitely a handful & needs a lot of work & I'm not talking about her weight loss...she's in general a total mess.  She needs a life makeover as well as a fashion makeover & of course the weight makeover but she has a terrible attitude which I find hilarious & the fact that she's British doesn't hurt.  She's having a very hard time not drinking the day before a workout & she smokes & complains a lot but Jackie sees some potential in there.   Jeana from Orange County housewives is also on the show & she is in a bad way, she keeps herself busy to avoid the fact that she hates herself & that's no way to live.

I'm also watching Boardwalk Empire, Detroit 1-8-7, Raising Hope, Running Wilde & Outsourced.  I missed last weeks Boardwalk Empire but the first episode sucked me in enough to want to keep watching it so hopefully I'll be able to catch up over the weekend.   

Detroit 1-8-7 is really good & not just because it's being filmed in my hometown but because the cast is really good (I'm loving Michael Imperioli's character) & I like the POV of the show & yes, it doesn't hurt to see things on TV that I see on a regular basis like American Coney Island & the old Space nightclub.   

Raising Hope was pretty funny the first week & definitely funny the second week so I think I'll keep watching it.  I love Martha Plimpton & Chloris Leachman is hilarious on the show playing the grandma with dementia who in last weeks episode tried to breast feed the baby!

Running Wilde was funny the first week but not so much this week & I think my issue with it is Keri Russell because she's not funny.  Will Arnett is always funny but I've never been a fan of Keri Russell & that hasn't changed with her role on this show either so as much as I was hoping to have another sitcom to enjoy & perhaps one to replace Better Off Ted (a moment of silence please).......I guess this won't be it.

Coming up on 10/14 I will be adding Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the mix as well & I cannot wait for that one!  The cast comes complete with a Maloof & Kelsey Grammar's ex wife.
 

Detroit 1-8-7...what did you think Detroit?

Personally I liked the show overall but did notice some inconsistencies like the "perp" calling his pop a soda & someone mentioning going to get a "slice" when we don't call pizza a "slice" it's a "piece".  The people mover being some sort of a "bullet train" was quite humorous because it travels slower than I walk!  The cop answering his phone while arresting someone was pretty dumb...no cop would ever do that, no matter what city they were in (not to mention he also turned away from the guy) but I know why they did it...had to build the big ending to the episode which I had issues with, why would they take cuffs off that guy just to hand him to someone else to cuff him again?  They wouldn't not to mention that the detective wouldn't be the one to deliver him to his next stop...they have people that do that.  My last complaint was the guy with the gold grills...it would have been far more realistic if he had been missing teeth...people in the D don't have grills.  I will for sure continue to watch but I jut hope that they are able to correct all of the inconsistencies about the area.
