And the Top Chef Winner is....

Paul & I'm so happy about that...I chose him as my favorite about half way through.  Congrats Paul & Sarah both for making it all the way to the end.

Top Model is back tonight!

The 18th season starts tonight & somehow this made it by me...thank god for my DVR because I had it set as a series recording. This season sounds interesting as its 7 American & 7 British models competing against each other. The British models were on Britains Next Top Model but I'm unclear as to whether they were all losers from previous seasons or if their season is now meshing with this one.  Anyway, I guess ill find out tonight at 9:00 on CW with special guest Kelly Osbourne!

Top Chef Finale!!

Tonight at 7:00 tune to Speed for the 9th season premiere of Pass Time.  Up at 9:00 on NatGeoWild is the first season finale of Maneater Manhunt while Discovery has the 4th season premiere of Sons of Guns.

At 10:00 tonight is the season finale of Top Chef Texas & we are down to Paul Qui & Sarah Grueneberg & I am rooting for Paul to be the winner of season 9.  Not only is he a better chef but I prefer his attitude toward others & I tend to lean toward my favored personality more than my favored foods.  Sarah has definitely made way more food that I would personally eat than Paul has but she was really rude to Beverly who granted was annoying but Sarah talked to her like she was 5 & Beverly was a great chef.  I also don't like the fact that Sarah missed so much of that BBQ challenge while she was in the hospital due to the heat which everyone was exposed to & cooking in so it was her own fault for not staying hydrated & listening to her body to begin with.  I can't wait to see the outcome!!

Dancing With the "Stars" Cast Revealed

The new cast of Dancing with the Stars was revealed yesterday & boy are they grasping at straws this season...most of the "stars" are has beens & quite a few have been out of the public eye for years & years like Jaleel White & Jack Wagner.  Anyway, the full list is below & if like me you are thinking "who the hell is that" check out this full write-up on Us.

Jack Wagner
Melissa Gilbert
Donald Driver
William Levy
Sherri Shepherd
Katherine Jenkins
Gavin DeGraw
Martina Navratilova
Roshon Fegan
Maria Menounous
Jaleel White
Gladys Knight

The new season will premiere March 19th on ABC.

Who do you think "A" is?

I am a big fan of Pretty Little Liars...those 4 girls on a mission to find out what happened & who murdered their friend, well, they just surprise me every week! It took me a long time before I liked Spencer & I'm not really sure why but her character seems less overacted this season.  Emily kind of annoys me, she always has...its something with her mouth well Shay's mouth that bugs me but I like her storyline so I work through it & I'm really curious what is going to happen with her dad.

So, back in the early stages of the show I thought "A" was Ian but then as time went on & he was murdered I started thinking it was Melissa but now I'm thinking it just might be Mr. &/or Mrs. Hastings or perhaps someone we haven't even met yet.  I am curious as to who other people think it is...any ideas?  We'll find out the true identity in 2 weeks but after seasons and seasons of wondering who it is I'm really hoping that when we find out we are shocked.  For a brief minute I thought it was Mona but now that she's being harassed I'm guessing it isn't but really I think I need to stop thinking about it & just wait but waiting sucks!

Davy Jones Dies

Davy Jones, the lead singer of The Monkees died of a heart attack at the age of 66 today in Florida.  The Monkees were a huge band who were formed in 1965 for their own TV show & both ended up being huge sensations.  Davy was born in England & got his start on British TV at the age of 11 & his biggest fan was none other than Marcia Brady of The Brady Bunch who was the president of the his fan club! Davy made an appearance on the sitcom as well as later on in The Brady Bunch Movie which I found hilarious. When I was growing up in the 80's I used to watch reruns of The Monkees after school every day but I'm sure that by kids standards today they wouldn't get it...the show was silly & fun & musical & kind of reminded me of Scooby Doo which was another show that Davy Jones was on often.

The loss of Jones will be felt by baby boomers everywhere as well as their children who had the luck to be raised in a home full of The Monkees!  Today Davy Jones took his Last Train to Clarksville & here's that video to remember him by.

Cancellation Updates

ABC - In case you didn't notice, the show "Work It" was cancelled...did it even make it to a 2nd episode?  Body of Proof is on it's way out & Cougar Town is hoping to gain some interest after going into syndication (not sure where or when that is happening) but is teetering at the moment, then again we've only had a couple episodes since the season return.

CBS - A Gifted Man is on it's way out & Unforgettable isn't doing so well either but is up in the air at the moment regarding cancellation.  The shows that are teetering are Rob, CSI: NY, The Good Wife, CSI: Miami, and Rules of Engagement.

CW - Ringer is doing really poorly but hasn't yet been cancelled, Nikita, Heart of Dixie & Gossip Girl are all on the edge with pretty shabby ratings but no official word has come through regarding the fate of any of them.

FOX - Allen Gregory has been cancelled while The Finder isn't looking so good right now either.  As for shows that are on the edge there are quite a few Fringe, Raising Hope, Terra Nova & Napoleon Dynamite.

NBC - Prime Suspect & The Firm were both cancelled already while Harry's Law is barely holding on.  Whitney is kind of in the middle while Are you there Chelsea is also leaning toward being cancelled.

I'm sure we'll learn much more once all of the seasons have ended for the year so I'll keep you posted of any series recordings that you can remove from your DVR.

Parenthood Season Finale

Well, I'm actually happy that the Parenthood 3rd season finale is on tonight at 10:00 on NBC...while I'm a fan of the show & have watched it from the beginning I'll be happy to get my Tuesday nights back so I can catch up on my DVR shows from Mondays.  It looks like the show will pack a lot into an hour from Crosby's wedding to Sarah apparently dumping Mark.

Also on at 10:00 is the 2nd season premiere of My Ride Rules on Speed, the 2nd finale of Monster Bug Wars on Science and the 3rd season finale of White Collar on USA.

My Biggest Guilty Pleasure...Jerseylicious!

I totally love all that is Jerseylicious...the drama, the comedy, the hair, the grammatical flubs, it's amazing & I saw the season premiere but still have last night's episode on the DVR.  Gigi really needs to man up & stop letting people make decisions for her, from the Frankie break-up/make-up to quitting The Gatsby she just keeps jumping the gun left and right.

I need to talk about Fil's mom & Anthony & Gayle & all of that hoopla, I couldn't believe she just named the salon on her own & then had to take it back after arguing in front of everyone & then argue again with Gayle & her daughter even louder & in front of even more people? Way to keep it classy Jersey!  I'll bet Alexa is loving all of it now that she's moved on to her own venture & Gayle is throwing down with someone else.

I'll come back to this later but it was on my mind as I was sipping a mug of Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer & chilling out for the night.  After being on vacation & sleeping in for 9 days getting back in the swing of work hours isn't easy.

Eeeeeee, it's's Oscar Sunday!!

Per usual I didn't see most if not any of the movies that are contenders for Best Picture but that won't stop me from watching the best awards show of the year.  I tune in for the fashions so I actually prefer the red carpet to the awards but I still watch all of it anyway.  Surprisingly, there are still finales and premieres on tonight but all of my shows are reruns & I have a fair amount of stuff on my DVR to occupy my time during the boring sections of the show.
Here's the lineup:

1:30 - Countdown to the Red Carpet begins on E!
5:30 - Live from the Red Carpet begins on E!
7:00 - ABC's Oscar Red Carpet begins
8:00 on Animal Planet is the first season finale of Hillbilly Handfishin'

American Weed

Tonight on National Geographic at 10:00 is the series premiere of American Weed which goes inside the world of medical marijuana in Colorado from all aspects of it from the growers, the patients, the dispensaries and of course the opponents to the industry which has been in business for the last 10 years.

During the premiere episode you can expect to meet dispensary owners, growers at risk of losing their crops that are outgrowing their location, a Sergeant who discovers pot being grown too close to kids & in local neighborhoods and of course someone who is trying to collect signatures to ban medical marijuana.

I'm looking forward to this show because we also have this law here in Michigan & I fully support it so I'm curious to see how Colorado is handling the industry because they have been at it much longer than we have.  For a clip, see below & don't forget to tune in or DVR this tonight!

"Penny Can" - Cougar Town Returns!

Apparently some new show/special that I was unaware of is premiering on Bravo tonight at's called The Ring Leader & has to do with a wedding planner so I'll probably check it out but if my Bravtuition is correct I'm going to say that this will be a one time deal not a full blown series.

Other than this head over to ABC at 8:30 for the 3rd season premiere of Cougar Town and then at 9:00 on History is the 3rd season premiere of Top Gear.  Or, if incessant breeding is more your thing you can check out the 6th season premiere of Too Many Kids & Still Idiotically Counting

Brad Pitt on Inside the Actor's Studio

People are constantly comparing George Clooney & Brad Pitt from their looks to their personalities to their women but you don't really get to make a decision about their work without first seeing the history of it on Inside the Actor's Studio.  A couple weeks ago we got the luxury of seeing George in a 2 hour special episode which I've yet to finish watching but I can say that I've made it past the middle of the episode & there was no mention of Facts of Life or Roseanne...without which George might not be where he is today.

It's time to continue comparing these 2 fine specimens when Brad gets his shot at the famous James Lipton interview on Bravo! Friday at 8 but his episode is only an hour so that kind of already puts the battle into perspective doesn't it?

Do you think Taylor & Fernanda hooked up?

After watching Tuesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo I was shocked when I heard that Fernanda (the one that OC Tamra hooked up with) and Taylor were rumored to have had a one night fling back in August apparently.  I have no clue how I could have possibly missed this story when it happened!  Anyway, I learned on WWHL that it is Fernanda who said it happened & Taylor sat there denying it all but every time she answered the question she closed her eyes which tells me that she was lying & that this did in fact happen.

The night in reference took place not too long before Russel killed himself so I know that Taylor was in a bad place at the time & I wouldn't put it past her to hook up with a woman just to feel safe & happy.  I think she used Fernanda to try to feel good about herself again & is now denying it because it doesn't look good but Fernanda doesn't think that is cool at all.  In an article in InTouch she said “Be responsible for your actions and don’t dismiss the other human being that you are connecting with”.

If you all remember Tamra did the same thing to her & basically joked about it later like it was nothing but she also seemed to forget that Fernanda is a lesbian & wasn't experimenting like she was.  I feel bad for Fernanda but she's the one who keeps hooking up with straight girls & then bitching because they hide it so really...both parties in both situations are at fault in my opinion.  For more on the story click here.

Finally, TV is back!

I really hate that TV shows will air 2 new episodes & then reruns for 3 weeks & keep flip flopping like this all season long.  I would rather be shown all 13-25 episodes & then wait for the new HBO & Showtime do it because as much as waiting for the new season sucks it sucks even more to miss a key point because you were so used to reruns you found something else to watch in the same time slot!

Anyway, I digress, so tonight at 9:00 on Showtime is the 33rd season finale of Inside the NFL while Maneater Manhunt premieres on NatGeo Wild (NGW).

10:00 brings the 3rd season finale of Mistresses on BBCA while the 3rd season of Restaurant Impossible premieres on Food & the series premiere of Vegas Stripped will be on Travel.

I don't normally post these on here but just so you know, Modern Family & Revenge are new tonight & we find out who won the last chance kitchen on Top Chef & see who will go to the finale!

Bring on the Crazy Tonight! RHOC & Doomsday Preppers premiere.

Tonight at 8:30 on Cartoon Network is the first season finale of The Looney Tunes Show & then at 9 all of the good stuff kicks off & I am so excited for the seventh season premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County...going back to the original city but clearly the cast has changed over the years with Vicki being the only original lady to remain for all 7 seasons.

Also up at 9:00 is the series premiere of Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic Channel (NGC) and also the season premiere of The River on ABC which looks super creepy to me but then again so did Lost & it was terrible so I'll be skipping this one for sure.

At 9:30 on A&E is the first season finale of Shipping Wars, at 10:00 on BBCA is the first season finale of Jamie's American Road Trip & the second season premiere of Jersey Couture on Oxygen.

Smash Premieres Tonight

9:00 brings part 2 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion as well as the 1st season finale of Philly Undercover on NatGeoWild.  At 10:00 it's time for the new series Smash starring Debra Messing & Katharine McPhee which has been highly anticipated by many...the commercials have been running for what seems like forever & this is not a show that I will be watching so I'm glad it's finally starting.  It's basically based on Broadway shows & those who are dying to be in them & if there's one thing I don't like it's a musical but if it sounds like it might be up your alley check the site for more about the show.

Also up at 10 on Discovery is the first season finale of First Week In.

Who Do You Think You Are?

A brand new season of Who Do You Think You Are airs tonight on NBC at 8:00 with Martin Sheen researching his heritage & after you make your husband watch this you can head over to DIY to catch the 9th season premiere of Man Caves & listen to him tell you how badly he wants one.  Up at 10:00 is the series premiere of Killer Trials & the first one is the Railroad Killer...sounds pretty interesting, I might just have to DVR this one.

Happy Friday everyone!!

I Just Want My Pants Back

I Just Want My Pants Back...yes, this title is the title of a new MTV series that is premiering tonight on MTV at 11:00 & it looks just as dumb as it sounds & I assume it can't be all that great since they've had it on the back burner for some time.  They aired a sneak peek of this show after the 2011 VMA's August 28th which was 6 months ago & I reluctantly watched it just to see if perhaps it would be something interesting & low & behold, it wasn't & I shut it off before the sneak peek was over.  The premise is that some guy in his young 20's who works just to support going out (like 90% of 20 something Americans) dreams of being a music journalist & isn't.  He does however excel at once night stands, one of which leads to his pants & heart being stolen by the girl involved which then leads him on a journey to find his pants, the girl, and himself.  Go ahead...roll your eyes & then vomit, that's what I wanted to do just writing this.

There are a couple other things on tonight as well so at 9:00 you can check out the 1st season finale of Less Than Kind followed by the 2nd season finale of Call me Fitz at 9:30 on DirectTV.  If you are still up at 11:59 check out Adult Swim for the 3rd season premiere of Delocated.

At 10:30 the 1st season finale of The Exes airs on TVLand & if you are still up at 11 head over to Bravo & see Tom Colicchio on Watch What Happens Live.
