Kim Kardashian rant...because I just have to!

140 characters is not enough to reflect my extreme distaste for Kim K & everything she's about.  I quit watching KUWTK after the episode this season with Kourtney & the rats...I mean quit bitching for a whole freaking episode, call an exterminator, fix the issues & shut up!  If that's all they have to show then they need to be cancelled as that is neither interesting nor entertaining & honestly the only reason I've been watching the last couple seasons is because I love Khloe.

Well I decided to watch the Thailand episodes so I recorded them (only to find out there's still a 3rd to come) and I spent so much time making comments to my dog about how obnoxious Kim is through the whole 2 hours.  I thought she was bad before but you take the 2 biggest narcissists in the world & have them marry each other & breed & all you get back is monsters.  Kim has become such a mega narcissist she makes Kanye look humble.  She spent way too much time taking pictures of herself for "the man she loves" than enjoying the beautiful place she was in with the family who has loved her since she was born.  My biggest issue with her stupid "selfie book" is that most of the time the pics weren't selfies because someone else was taking them!

Now that brings me to this...who in the hell were the people patting sand all over her big fat ass & taking pictures of her?  There was like a whole crew...it wasn't her "Executive Assistant" who had been taking her pics the rest of the trip so did she hire a bunch of people to make sure that not a second of her hotness was missed?  Perhaps they were rescuers trying to save that 2 sizes too small bikini from getting eaten by her giant ass?  When she was laying in the water I was just hoping she'd get stung by a jellyfish.

That brings me back to the "Executive Assistant" at least that's what I think it said her title was (is her name Christine?) anyway....Executive Assistants don't take photos or run errands or help with personal items...that is a Personal Assistant.  An Executive Assistant is a highly trained individual who handles paperwork, appointments, travel & things of that nature...basically, if my boss asked me to go to Thailand for work & then proceeded to wear a wet t-shirt dress asking me to take pictures of her I would say "sorry sister, I don't care what you pay me, that's sexual harassment & not in my job description".

I was cheering Khloe on when she said to Kim "why don't you just take another selfie" and then Kim responds with some nasty comment about Khloe's multiple rapper boyfriends...really Kim, you're married to one & that's probably how Khloe met them all to begin with.  But regardless, she's so selfish...it's all about her & her husband & kid and she thinks that should go for everyone in her entire family!  Just because her sex tape made them all famous doesn't mean shit...she's the most annoying, obnoxious, narcissistic, overrated, selfish, rude, irritating person on reality TV.  You know when the show started she was just full of herself but all of the "fame" has gone to her head & I for one can't wait until people start saying "oh yeah, whatever happened to Kim?".  And speaking of the kid...poor North, named after a defunct airline has to be raised by 2 people who most likely view her as the best accessory ever.  And what's up with Kanye getting all pissed about keeping his kid safe & out of the public eye (you'll see she's never shown on KUWTK) when his wife's entire business is based on just that.  Not to mention that it was totally cool to put her on the cover of Vogue...um, can you say contradiction?

Anyway, I'm just counting down the days until E! finally cancels that shit & they are all forced to make money another way. I  would like for them to just fizzle away like Spencer & Heidi...I mean, I know there will always be celebrities that are just like them but I'm ready to move on to some new meat & preferably new meat with MUCH smaller asses.  I don't care what anyone says her ass is just plain too big & so unattractive!!

Director Valerie Veatch skillfully weaves a tale of personal tragedy together with social commentary, shining a light on how new technology can have unforeseen dire consequences.

The film was an official selection of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, and is executive produced by John Legere (CEO of T-Mobile).  Check out the trailer below, tune in tonight at 9:00 or for any of the reruns offered or you can check it out on HBO Go.

Featuring never before seen FBI footage, insights from Muslim leaders, high-level Washington insiders and intimate family interviews, the film examines how four street criminals with no history of violence were drawn by a Pakistani FBI informant into a carefully orchestrated plot for destruction.

Laid up round up!

So I've been really behind on my DVR for a while now & I was laid up for 2 days with a stiff neck so I made my way through almost everything on there over the last couple days & here's my thoughts on a bunch of stuff.  There may be spoilers here if you are behind on any of these shows.

1. The Honey Boo Boo family is disgusting & I spend a lot of time covering my eyes when I watch the show BUT they are the happiest family on television.  They are real, they all love each other & while I get grossed out watching them eat & play in nasty things like mud & butter I still love them because they really don't give 2 shits what anyone else thinks of them.  It still boggles my mind though that all the girls have boyfriends & I'm still single...then again, I require my men to have all of their teeth.

2.  Bad Teacher was funny but I totally see why it was cancelled...every episode has to have some lesson & end on a happy note...that's not entertaining...we want to see a teacher behaving badly not a bad teacher learning to be a better person.  Plus Kristen Davis' teacher's aid Kim is a pointless & annoying character that I like to ff through.

3.  Californication...boy am I glad this is over.  Seriously, every single season was the same thing & I honestly wish that Karen would have died in the car accident to add some point of interest to the end of the series.  Instead it ended just like it started with Karen & Hank at a good place...why was she so stupid to keep going back to him when he just always treated her like shit?  Nothing will ever change but at least we don't have to watch it anymore!

4.  Welcome to Sweden...I didn't find this to be the least bit funny for the most part.  There was 1 funny scene (the sauna) but the rest was pretty lame.  I'm not a fan of having to read what I'm watching as I'm always doing other stuff while the TV is on & there's just too much Swedish talk going on for me.  I hoped that since this was Amy Poehler's brother it would be hilarious so perhaps that's why I was so disappointed...I don't know but this one won't be getting a series recording from me.

5.  The Leftovers is beyond confusing...I generally give a show 3 episodes before I walk away but this one will get 4.  I just watched episode 3 & there was just way too much dreaming & imagery going on...just get on with the damn story.  Nothing makes sense, the characters are poorly developed for this far into a season & when they jump back to a previous story I never know if it's a dream or just a look back to give us more information.  Regardless, I'm always rewinding due to confusion but that never helps!

6.  Game of Crowns...this show is horrendous & I will not be tuning in again.

7.  Murder in the First is good, I like the cast (Taye Diggs is my world & seeing Clare from 90210 again makes me smile) & am really getting into this story about Blunt & can't wait to see who actually killed that flight attendant.  I haven't seen this weeks episode yet but will be watching right after work.

8.  Halt & Catch Fire I am still indecisive about this one.  I like the story but the show is too technical so a lot of the "drama" that goes on makes no sense to the general public.  People don't even know what a BIOS is!  I know the show is about the computers but they need to take a backseat to the story or this show will tank.  Like Mad Men, it's not actually about advertising it's about the people working in the agency but so far, this one is mostly about computers.  In the last episode I watched (I've yet to watch last weeks) they started getting a little more in-depth with the characters like the thing with Joe's dad & Cameron & stupid Gordon & the Cabbage Patch Kid.  My biggest question here is who is Gordon's wife going to sleep with, Joe or the guy at work?  I'll watch the whole season but I can't yet say if I'll be back for the next one if there even is one.

9.  Working the Engels has potential but I need to give it a couple more episodes.

10.  Sister Wives...this one is just getting boring...I watched 2 episodes last night & honestly couldn't tell you anything that happened in either one!  Since the family doesn't get drunk or make poor choices the entertainment value is gone now that the shock value of public polygamy is gone.

Dangerous Acts Starring the Unstable Elements of Belarus

HBO’s most recent documentary, Dangerous Acts Starring the Unstable Elements of Belarus premiered Monday, 7/7.  The documentary is comprised of smuggled footage and uncensored interviews, this enlightening documentary gives audiences a front-row seat to the Belarus Free Theater – a performance art resistance movement against Europe’s last remaining dictatorship.

Director Madeleine Sackler goes behind the scenes with the internationally acclaimed underground troupe of courageous performers who refuse to remain silent in a country choked by censorship and repression. After premiering at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, the must-see film continues to shed light on the liberties often taken for granted – including free speech and right to artistic freedom.
