Up at 9:00 on Animal Planet it's the special Monsters Behind the Iron Curtain, HBO has the series finale of Boardwalk Empire, PBS has part one of the two part original mini-series Death Comes to Pemberley, HMC has the original telefilm of Garage Sale Mystery, Food has the 4th season finale of Halloween Wars and on E! Total Divas heads to break.  At 10:00 on E! it's the Botched reunion, part 1.

Up at 8:00 on CMT it's the 1st season finale of Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge, FOX has the two hour series premiere of Utopia and on ABC it's the two hour 7th season finale of Wipeout.

On NBC at 8:20 it's the time slot premiere of Sunday Night Football and at 8:30 on OWN it's the 1st season finale of The Specials.

Up in the 10:00 slot on A&E it's the series premiere of Be the Boss, on VH1 the series premiere of Miss You Much and on Bravo it's the return of Shahs of Sunset for it's second season & I can't wait!!

At 10:30 on DA it's the 1st season finale of Buying Alaska then at 11:00 on AMC it's the 2nd season fall finale of Talking Dead followed by the 2nd season fall finale of Comic Book Men at 11:30.

Up at 9:00 on VH1 it's the 15th season premiere of Behind the Music with Train and on HBO it's the 3rd season premiere of Boardwalk Empire, on E! it's the 7th season finale of Keeping up with the Kardashians and on Discovery it's the 1st season finale of One Car too Far.

On TNT at 10:00 it's the 5th season summer finale of Leverage and on Showtime it's the one hour series finale of Weeds...thank God!

Favorite new shows

Well I've tuned in to a few new shows that have come up this season & for the most part I like them all.  I've picked up Jackie Warner's new show Thintervention and it's quite entertaining since I'm a fan of hers & I enjoy the people who are on it for the most part with the exception of Stacy.  Nikki (pictured) is definitely a handful & needs a lot of work & I'm not talking about her weight loss...she's in general a total mess.  She needs a life makeover as well as a fashion makeover & of course the weight makeover but she has a terrible attitude which I find hilarious & the fact that she's British doesn't hurt.  She's having a very hard time not drinking the day before a workout & she smokes & complains a lot but Jackie sees some potential in there.   Jeana from Orange County housewives is also on the show & she is in a bad way, she keeps herself busy to avoid the fact that she hates herself & that's no way to live.

I'm also watching Boardwalk Empire, Detroit 1-8-7, Raising Hope, Running Wilde & Outsourced.  I missed last weeks Boardwalk Empire but the first episode sucked me in enough to want to keep watching it so hopefully I'll be able to catch up over the weekend.   

Detroit 1-8-7 is really good & not just because it's being filmed in my hometown but because the cast is really good (I'm loving Michael Imperioli's character) & I like the POV of the show & yes, it doesn't hurt to see things on TV that I see on a regular basis like American Coney Island & the old Space nightclub.   

Raising Hope was pretty funny the first week & definitely funny the second week so I think I'll keep watching it.  I love Martha Plimpton & Chloris Leachman is hilarious on the show playing the grandma with dementia who in last weeks episode tried to breast feed the baby!

Running Wilde was funny the first week but not so much this week & I think my issue with it is Keri Russell because she's not funny.  Will Arnett is always funny but I've never been a fan of Keri Russell & that hasn't changed with her role on this show either so as much as I was hoping to have another sitcom to enjoy & perhaps one to replace Better Off Ted (a moment of silence please).......I guess this won't be it.

Coming up on 10/14 I will be adding Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the mix as well & I cannot wait for that one!  The cast comes complete with a Maloof & Kelsey Grammar's ex wife.
 

Boardwalk Empire Premieres

This Sunday is the long awaited premiere of Boardwalk Empire which will air at 9 PM on HBO.  Boardwalk Empire stars Steve Buscemi as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson who is the Treasurer of Atlantic City after the passing of prohibition.  

It's 1920 & the entire country is about to change, the war is over, women are voting, the market is faring well...so something has to give & that something is alcohol.  All of the excitement in Atlantic City involving rum runners, gambling, and its close location to so many other major cities somehow involves Nucky who luckily happens to be the brother of the town Sheriff.  Nucky does business in the AC as well as everywhere else with the likes of Al Capone & Lucky Luciano so I'm sure there will be trouble around every corner.

This series not only has a great cast but it's also being directed by the one & only Martin Scorsese and written by Terence Winter who was also the writer of The Sopranos!!  This show will be a little bit of gangster, a little bit of politics & a lot of drama & I can't wait to see it.Click here for the full trailer.
