Weeds & Episodes return tonight
First off I'm going to say that I am very happy to hear that this season of Weeds is the last season but sadly, I still have no intent on watching it. I have been extremely disappointed by this show for the last 4 seasons or so and while there is a slight intrigue to see how the show will close up after 8 years I don't know that I can sit through another six & a half hour season of unfunny so-called comedy. I mean, this show took a major turn from funny to dark & desperate attempts at humor & intrigue after Agrestic burned down. All of the funny characters were cut out of the show...Celia, Heylia, Conrad, Sanjay & Lupita were the funniest part of the show & they were all written out which ruined everything for me.
Also returning tonight for it's second season after more than a year hiatus is Episodes which Matt LeBlanc won an award for best comedic actor. In the show he plays himself & I watched the first season & it's a comedy but it's not all that funny. I mean, it has humor but it also some super serious stuff that I could do without so...I have no plan of watching the new season...I feel that a comedy should have at least 1 laugh out loud joke per episode & this doesn't offer that for me. Showtime has the best original programming & the worst movies but I'm beginning to question these new shows too...I tried Web Therapy as well and it too was dumb. Shows like Californication & Nurse Jackie know how to balance the funny with the serious so they should think about that with future "comedies".
Anyway, here's the TV lineup for tonight. At 8:00 on PBS is the series premiere of Queen & Country and at 9:00 on DA is the 3rd season finale of BBQ Pit Masters.
At 10:00 on History is the series premiere of Shark Wranglers & on Showtime is the 8th & finale season premiere of Weeds. At 10:30 on Showtime is the 2nd season premiere of Episodes.
At 11:00 on Bravo there is a special called 10 Things That Make Me Happy. There isn't going to be much on tonight or the rest of the week due to it being a holiday week.

I Give Up!
Generally, when I start watching a show I'll give it 3 episodes & if I pick it up I stick it out until the series ends but there are some that I've walked out on after a few seasons like Grey's Anatomy & Gossip Girl. As this season(s) is drawing to a close I'm realizing that I have already walked away from quite a few shows & that I plan to give up even more too. My big question to myself is why? Is it me or is it the shows that suck? Take 30 Rock for example...this season was not worth the wait, what happened to the writing? I haven't laughed out loud once yet this whole season because nobody is funny or interesting, has the show overstayed its welcome? Anyway, here's a list of what I'm walking away from (or already have) this season:
I'm sure as the spring/summer (off) season gets going some more shows will be added to this list...especially considering all of the Bravo & other reality TV I watch that I'm probably forgetting all about!
- 2 & A Half Men - Ashton sucks, this is now Kelso meets the Harpers
- 30 Rock - So NOT funny this season
- The Office - Hasn't been funny in years
- Desperate Housewives (I would have left last year but this is the final season, thank God) - same old crap season after season
- Weeds - So dumb since season 3
- Community - Brita & Jeff...nuff said!
- Pan Am (I don't think season 2 will exist but I walked after 3 episodes) - Boring
- America's Next Top Model - I DVR & only watch the photo shoot & judging, I don't need all that drama & I can't believe this show is still on now
- Glee - will totally depend on the new cast, I only watch for Jane Lynch as it is now, I DVR every episode & fast forward through all of the singing.
I'm sure as the spring/summer (off) season gets going some more shows will be added to this list...especially considering all of the Bravo & other reality TV I watch that I'm probably forgetting all about!

Weeds & The Big C are back!!
Tonight at 10 tune in to Showtime to catch the season 7 premiere of Weeds followed by the season 2 premiere of The Big C at 10:30.
Last season of Weeds
ended with Nancy walking out of an airport & getting arrested by the feds & this season apparently picks up 3 years later after Nancy has been sprung from prison. The new season takes place in New York...or at least the beginning of it does, one can never tell where a season will turn with the crazy nomadic Botwin family.

Nancy Botwin er um Natalie Newman is from my home town!
After finally getting around to watching Weeds from this past Monday I saw the preview for next week...where Nancy returns to her home town (and mine) of Dearborn Michigan to hook up with an old teacher that she apparently had some intimate time with ages ago. I don't really know anything else about the episode aside from the fact that it wasn't filmed in Dearborn (or anywhere else in the area) and the old teacher is played by Richard Dreyfuss!

Catching up on shows
Let's start with Mad Men
shall we? Poor little Sally, she seems a little young to be getting turned on by older men on TV no? She's what like 8 or something & she's playing with herself at a sleepover...I was a little confused as to what was going on since they only showed her rubbing her own knee & then when the mom saw her & looked so shocked I assumed that's what she had done but had no clue until the mom told Betty. Obviously poor Sally is having issues with the divorce & I think getting her into therapy is a good choice & they should probably put the boy in too, just to be safe. I could not believe Roger's behavior toward Honda, but I guess that's how things were done back then...everyone was a racist & a homophobe & it was ok to be that way, what a mess.
Next we have to discuss Jersey Housewives
...first up I need to say that I can't stand the way Jacqueline calls Danielle "Dinielle" it grates on my last nerve every time she says it. Now, I know I've said it before but I feel so bad for Danielle's kids, she talks to them like they are her peers & they aren't, they are her children & should be treated as such. I'm not saying she should baby them or anything but she talks with them like she would talk with her friends & that is inappropriate until the kids are at least 21. Keeping on the kid track, I feel so sorry for the women who marry Caroline's sons...they are such mama's boys it's sick & no woman will ever compare to her in their eyes & that sucks. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the meeting with Caroline & Danielle but I totally agreed with Danielle that she shouldn't drop the charges against Ashley, you can't learn from mistakes when nobody makes you pay for them! Ohter than that though I totally agreed with Caroline because Danielle is garbage & a clown & completely delusional when she is receiving energy assistance through the phone & bringing an armed entourage of ex cons to a meeting with a single person. It's been rumored that she has been kicked off of the show so I really hope that is the truth since I don't ever want to see her face (or her square tits) again!
Next up we shall discuss Weeds
& The Big C. Weeds is off to a good start though I have to admit that I'm getting really sick of them constantly being on the run, it's always something with them but I guess that is the life of a drug dealer, right? The Botwin's are now the Newman's and on their way to somewhere now that Shane killed Pilar. I'm going to take this moment to say that I don't like Shane, I've thought for a few seasons now that the kid needed therapy, especially after he was jerking it to his mom's naked pic but now that he thinks he's super cool for being a murderer I really think he needs therapy. I'm very curious to see where this season takes us and next week looks like they are getting back into the old ways of the weed...we shall see what unfolds but I sure hope it includes the rest of the cast. This family moves around so much that we keep losing some of the best characters like Lupita, Heylia & Conrad though we had Lupita for a moment last season she's gone again. I sure hope Doug, Dean, Celia, and Isabelle show back up because they are the only humor left on the show!

It's high time for Weeds to return!
The new season of Weeds
starts tonight at 10 on Showtime! I'm not sure what this season has in store for us but hopefully it's better than the last season which I thought totally sucked, it lost it's funny & the whole Mexican/Colombian drug cartel turn the show has taken is kind of lame. There was one hell of a cliffhanger at the end of last season though, shit! I cannot wait to see what's going to come of all of that but it better be good so I will definitely be tuned in tonight & then after Weeds we have the premiere of the new show The Big C starring Laura Linney & Oliver Platt (both of whom I love) and Laura finds out she has cancer & that's the basis for the show. I did catch a little commercial last night for these shows & I guess Mary Louise Parker will be on The Big C tonight & Laura Linney will be on Weeds...not sure if they are on as their characters from their own shows or different characters completely but it will still be fun!

Weeds Season Wrap Up!
So I finally finished watching the most recent season of Weeds (5) over the weekend and this season was definitely better than last season. Last season was kind of boring, depressing, and not funny but luckily this season was much more humorous & Lupita is back so that made me very happy. In the middle of the season while Nancy was pregnant & Andy grew that awful beard I was pretty bored but since I didn't have to wait a week to watch each new episode I just kept watching & it got better though had I been watching during the season I may have dropped it. Now, Celia is one of my favorite characters & she was great this season but my favorite character all season was her daughter...she's so damn funny! Now, just when I thought that Shane couldn't get into any more weird shit he started having sex with 2 girls & contracted an STD & then he got shot & started drinking, then in the end he killed someone & I think he's like 15. Silas on the other hand just keeps getting hotter & hotter as the seasons go by, me likey, not only for his sex appeal but also for his entrepreneurial thinking & I really wish that their pot shop worked out but with idiot Doug smoking all the stock I'm not sruprised they went under. I really think that Alanis Morrisette did an outstanding job playing Audra & I hope she's on next season & considering that the season ended with her being held at bow & arrow point I'm sure she will be. I really wish that Conrad & Helia would come back dammit!
