It's Gossip Girls series finale tonight!!

Tonight at 8:00 on ABC it's the 10th season finale of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, on FOX it's the special Dreamworks Dragons, on CW it's the 8th season fall finale of How I Met Your Mother, and on CW it's the two hour series finale of Gossip Girl.  On Discovery there's another American Chopper special, on VH1 it's the second part of the Basketball Wives LA reunion.

On CBS at 9:00 it's the 2nd season fall finale of 2 Broke Girls, on Discovery the series finale of American Chopper, on HBO it's the special Picture Paris and on VH1 it's the 2nd season finale of T.I. & Tiny.  Then on VH1 at 9:30 it's the 1st season finale of Marrying the Game and on CBS the 3rd season fall finale of Mike & Molly.

1600 Penn airs its series premiere on NBC tonight at 9:31 and at 10:00 on CBS it's the 3rd season fall finale of Hawaii Five-0 and the VH1 special Tiny Tonight!  Then at 10:01 on NBC it's the 1st season finale of Take it All.

Nothing cancelled yet...

So, while no shows have been cancelled yet this season we are also at a point where none of the new shows have been renewed for another season yet either.  I assume that by this time next week we will be hearing about shows that have been cancelled or aren't likely to have a second season.  Here's some information by network for what isn't currently doing so hot per ratings:

Props for Go On and also for Revolution who both received the green light to finish up their first season which is a good sign so early on so if you ask me I'm thinking that if their ratings keep up they will be renewed for second seasons.  I also think it's funny that I don't watch either show!  I checked out Revolution & reviewed it here and I have watched one or two episodes of Go On but for some reason I guess it didn't stick.

As for other shows and their renewal status here's what's up, the following shows have already been renewed:

Gossip Girl final season premieres tonight

Tonight at 8:00 on CW it's the 5th season premiere of 90210 & Encore has the original mini-series premiere of Titanic: Blood and Steel and then at 8:30 on Disney XD it's the series premiere of Crash & Bernstein.

Up at 9:00 on CW it's the 6th & final season premiere of Gossip Girl, Weather has the 2nd season finale of Ice Pilots, TV One has the 4th season premiere of Life After, NGC has the series premiere of To Catch a Smuggler and on Bravo it's the first part of the Real Housewives of NYC reunion.

On PBS at 10:00 it's the 14th season premiere of Independent Lens, on Sundance check out the 2nd season premiere of Mortified Sessions and on TV One it's the 1st season finale of R&B Divas.  Then at 11:00 on Oxygen it's the 1st season finale of Girlfriend Confidential.

Cancellation Updates

ABC - In case you didn't notice, the show "Work It" was cancelled...did it even make it to a 2nd episode?  Body of Proof is on it's way out & Cougar Town is hoping to gain some interest after going into syndication (not sure where or when that is happening) but is teetering at the moment, then again we've only had a couple episodes since the season return.


CBS - A Gifted Man is on it's way out & Unforgettable isn't doing so well either but is up in the air at the moment regarding cancellation.  The shows that are teetering are Rob, CSI: NY, The Good Wife, CSI: Miami, and Rules of Engagement.


CW - Ringer is doing really poorly but hasn't yet been cancelled, Nikita, Heart of Dixie & Gossip Girl are all on the edge with pretty shabby ratings but no official word has come through regarding the fate of any of them.


FOX - Allen Gregory has been cancelled while The Finder isn't looking so good right now either.  As for shows that are on the edge there are quite a few Fringe, Raising Hope, Terra Nova & Napoleon Dynamite.


NBC - Prime Suspect & The Firm were both cancelled already while Harry's Law is barely holding on.  Whitney is kind of in the middle while Are you there Chelsea is also leaning toward being cancelled.  


I'm sure we'll learn much more once all of the seasons have ended for the year so I'll keep you posted of any series recordings that you can remove from your DVR.

Ready to dump Gossip Girl

OK so I posted recently how I planned to get rid of Brothers & Sisters after this season ends (which I believe is this or next week, yay) and now I'm ready to dump Gossip Girl too.  I don't know what is with this show but it's turning into Brothers & Sisters...it's like the same story line keeps repeating itself & the scheming of Blair is beyond redundant.  These kids are all supposed to be in college yet they only go to class when it's convenient for the story line, as much of a detail whore as Blair is she has hideous eyebrows that clearly need to be shaped, the constant trading of partners & spouses is just plain gross & to top it off I'm always confused.  They cross too many story lines at once, they track back to stories from 2 seasons ago that I had completely forgotten about & a lot of the fashion is completely ridiculous & inappropriate for the scenarios they put them in.  I don't really think I need to watch anymore because I know what's going to happen...Blair & Chuck will end up together, Serena & Dan will end up together even though they are step siblings & Gossip Girl will continue to talk about them all, oh the cliff hanger!
 

Finally!!

Gossip Girl is finally back tonight at 9 on CW but before that at 8 is the return of 90210 which I can't believe hasn't been canceled yet...I gave it up before it returned last season.  Just wanted to point out the fact that a Beverly Hills 90210 season costs about $40 while a 90210 season only costs about $25...shouldn't that tell you something?
 

Gossip Girl is back!!!

Tonight at 8 on CW is the return of 90210 which I honestly can't believe it still on...I made it through 1.5 seasons & had to walk away...it was just stupid.  Up at 9 PM though is a premiere I've been waiting for...Gossip Girl!  We obviously know that Chuck can't be dead but I'm really curious to see how that whole situation unfolds, not to mention Georgina's pregnancy & all of the other drama we were left with.
 

2 Premieres

Tonight at 8 pm on ABC Family is the return of 10 Things I Hate About You and then at 10 pm is the premiere of the final season of Saving Grace on TNT.

I'll be tuning in for Gossip Girl at 9 on the CW & then Nurse Jackie at 10 and U.S. of Tara at 10:30 on Showtime.  I will be recording Damages at 10 pm on FX and Kell on Earth at 11 on Bravo! to watch tomorrow after work.

Serena & her Thanksgiving gear!

WTF is with this character on Gossip Girl?  Last year I wrote a blog post about her inappropriate outfit at Thanksgiving dinner & a million other places & this years turkey day outfit was no exception!  At first glance I thought to myself "again with the tits at a family function?" but then later when I got a full frontal & rear view of what I thought was a trashy ass dress I realized that it was in fact a freaking catsuit!  I don't know about you guys but I if rolled up at a family dinner in a skin tight black catsuit that appeared to be purchased at Frederick's of Hollywood I'd definitely receive quite a bit of flack for it but not Serena.  There she is sitting at the dining table with everyone else, who is appropriately dressed by the way, and nobody is thinking twice about her apparel?  I'm sorry but the wardrobe stylist for this show obviously needs some counseling, like it's not bad enough that all of these 16-18 year old kids are drinking at family dinner & in bars but then they are dressing Serena like a total skank.  I understand that Serena is supposed to be the "bad girl" but not all bad girls dress like whores. The thing that worries me the most is that I read in Us Weekly that Blake (who plays Serena) approves her entire wardrobe herself due to concern for hemlines.  Really, someone says "this will be your turkey day outfit" & she says "perfect"?  I would also like to point out that her concern for hemlines is obviously that they are usually not short enough...if you view the post that I linked to at the top of this post you can check out pics for yourself.  Aside from Serena being dressed like a trash bag I thought everyone else looked really cute & I totally loved Blair's dress!! Oh yeah, I was really disappointed with Serena for leaving with Trip instead of staying with Nate...Nate is hot & Trip is not!

Hilary Duff is now on Gossip Girl...

So Hilary Duff is now on Gossip Girl as famous actress Olivia Wilde & Dan's new love interest which I don't get, this is his 2nd love interest in what 4 episodes?  Dan, really?  Anyway, she's not as annoying as I thought she'd be but I will definitely say that Tyra shouldn't quit her day job as she can't act, her hair looked positively hideous & she is lookin old too.  Some things have not changed though...Blair is starting a new society at NYU so she can still be a queen, Chuck is playing mind games, and Serena still refuses to wear any type of bottoms & Jenny is now following her lead. 

Next week is the wedding of Lily & Rufus & it looks like there is going to be some good drama, like I think Scott is going to be forced to come clean to the couple about him being their son due to one of Georgina's threats.  We shall see!!

Gossip Girl Season Premiere

Meh, I don't know about you guys but I didn't exactly think that this opener was all that.  I really didn't care for the long drawn out "what is going on with Serena" story.  She's trying to get her father to notice her by acting like a skank in Europe & riding a horse across the field at a polo match, I don't get it. 

So far I feel really bad for Vanessa, she's a really nice girl & all she ever does is get screwed over by guys. This new guy that she thinks is totally into her is just seeing her to try to get to Dan...his brother. 

The Nate story line is so Romeo & Juliet so I hope that fizzles soon because it's not original. 

I'm so looking forward to next week though, when Blair finds out that Georgina is going to be her roommate at school! Ha ha ha but what I don't get is that if all these kids are going to school locally why are they in dorms?  Also, why the hell do Blair & Chuck appear to be living together?  Isn't anyone aware that these kids are like 17/18 years old yet they are moving out, going to Europe alone, drinking at public events...it's all so confusing!  I really hope this season picks up, I was so excited for the premiere & was pretty disappointed.
