Inside Out: The People's Art Project

Tonight on HBO at 9:00 check out the premiere of the new documentary Inside Out: The People's Art Project.  This project was started by French street artist JR who is known for billboard-sized photographic portraits of regular people in urban settings.  JR put out a call to action:&nbsp “Tell me what you stand for, and together we’ll turn the world inside out.” and so began Inside Out.  This is the largest participatory art project ever which travels the world from Tunisia to North Dakota to Haiti & a ton of places in between and shows the power of art & how it can change lives.

JR is the 2011 winner of the TED Prize which is an annual prize given to someone with a creative & bold vision to spark change around the world.  JR was granted the funding to make "A Wish to Change the World" and the end result became Inside Out Project. The project empowers people across the globe from all kinds of environments including those that are unstable due to politics, environment, living conditions and the like to create their own photographic messages & together it all becomes Inside Out: The People's Art Project.
