I loved the 6 episode X-Files treat we had & I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't wait for more. When these episodes started creating multiple story lines I knew they were setting us up for either another movie or another season. From what I've read thus far we don't yet know what will come but it's a pretty good outlook for more Mulder/Scully/Einstein/Miller ahead. I kind of had a feeling that Fox wanted to see what kind of ratings a new season would get before deciding it's fate and personally I would like another season rather than a movie but I will definitely watch it either way!
Here's what Chris Carter told TV Line & it makes me happy!
"Fox owns this show. I can't imagine, with the ratings that we've got and the way we ended this season, that there won't be more X-Files. They will find a way to get that done. Because I spoke about it briefly with [Fox CEO] Dana Walden today, so there's an appetite there and...a chance certainly to find how we're gonna get ourselves off this precipice."
