Four Houses...I watched it
I had taken my dog out before running some errands, as we were walking around the grass I heard some thunder that sounded distant but then it started to rain so we hurried inside & I noticed a severe thunderstorm alert on my phone so I opted to sit down & see what was on my DVR.
You guys all know that I watch a lot of chick TV channels like TLC, Bravo, Oxygen & Style so true to form I had to check out Four Houses. Now, I'm clearly pretty stupid because I love Four Weddings & get so excited when it's on but I had no clue that this new show was the same idea...uh, duh! Anyway, I watched the show this afternoon and surprise, I really liked it. I love getting to see the inside of other peoples homes which is one reason why I prefer to walk my dog around the neighborhood at night, checking out peoples design aesthetic, color palettes, furniture placement...etc. Not only does it give me ideas but it makes me think about who might live there & this show gave me that chance, to see the whole inside & meet the personality that lives there.
We had Mishka, Ricky, Jen & Bruce and they all visit each others homes as a group & then rate them & the winner gets $10,000. Mishka was quite an earthy character & her home represented her well, she was an older woman & looked like a cross between Mila Kunis & Fran Drescher. Ricky's house was a museum for all intensive purposes & also reminded me of our local Heidelberg Project crossed with Willy Wonka's Wonderland. Jen's house was so overdecorated it made me anxious looking at it...my house is messy & cluttered but only because it's an apartment with minimal space, if I had an office my place would seem so much more open! Her house did seem cozy in some aspects though, it wasn't all bad just too much. Last is Bruce who is a real estate agent & he lives in this beige under-decorated foreign looking home with an amazing view.
I'm not going to tell you who won but I knew was going to win right away just by their intro. Anyway, if you are into Four Weddings you'll probably enjoy this as well...the personalities are often the best part & these were 4 very distinct personalities so check it out!!
The Catalina season finale is tonight
Tonight at 8:00 on CW is the 1st season finale of The Catalina & on PBS is the series premiere of Michael Wood's Story of England.
Up at 9:00 on Bravo is what claims to be a new special of Top 20 Real Housewife Reunion Moments but wasn't that on last week? I know I already watched something...Andy hosted it from the clubhouse & I thought it was the top 20 RH reunion moments but perhaps I was wrong. My cable guide says this is new, my TV lineup source says it's new so I'm going to DVR it just to be safe.

Kris Jenner had a less than perfect trip to the Dominican Republic
Tonight E! aired the 2nd part of the Kardashian family vacation in Dominican Republic where poor Kris woke up one morning with a huge upper lip & she said she looked like someone from Hooville & she truly did!
Prior to the lip problem she also broke her toe after being tortured & chased by all the girls into a rock bottom pool. She made up for the broken toe with plenty of alcohol but with the lip she couldn't eat or drink until finally she called a nurse. After a day it was still bad so the nurse gave her something to take & told her to ice it as well so by that evening it had gone down a bit & she was able to eat & drink again. By their last day she was pretty much back to normal though but I had to share the photos, I mean, I felt bad for her but its hysterical!

Weeds & Episodes return tonight
First off I'm going to say that I am very happy to hear that this season of Weeds is the last season but sadly, I still have no intent on watching it. I have been extremely disappointed by this show for the last 4 seasons or so and while there is a slight intrigue to see how the show will close up after 8 years I don't know that I can sit through another six & a half hour season of unfunny so-called comedy. I mean, this show took a major turn from funny to dark & desperate attempts at humor & intrigue after Agrestic burned down. All of the funny characters were cut out of the show...Celia, Heylia, Conrad, Sanjay & Lupita were the funniest part of the show & they were all written out which ruined everything for me.
Also returning tonight for it's second season after more than a year hiatus is Episodes which Matt LeBlanc won an award for best comedic actor. In the show he plays himself & I watched the first season & it's a comedy but it's not all that funny. I mean, it has humor but it also some super serious stuff that I could do without so...I have no plan of watching the new season...I feel that a comedy should have at least 1 laugh out loud joke per episode & this doesn't offer that for me. Showtime has the best original programming & the worst movies but I'm beginning to question these new shows too...I tried Web Therapy as well and it too was dumb. Shows like Californication & Nurse Jackie know how to balance the funny with the serious so they should think about that with future "comedies".
Anyway, here's the TV lineup for tonight. At 8:00 on PBS is the series premiere of Queen & Country and at 9:00 on DA is the 3rd season finale of BBQ Pit Masters.
At 10:00 on History is the series premiere of Shark Wranglers & on Showtime is the 8th & finale season premiere of Weeds. At 10:30 on Showtime is the 2nd season premiere of Episodes.
At 11:00 on Bravo there is a special called 10 Things That Make Me Happy. There isn't going to be much on tonight or the rest of the week due to it being a holiday week.
