It's Emmy day!!  Today at 4:30 on E! it's Countdown to the Red Carpet and at 6:00 on E! it's Live from the Red Carpet.  Up at 6:30 on Nick it's the series premiere of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

At 8:00 on ABC it's a special Castaways, FOX has the special Inside the Manson Cult, NBC has the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards and on Smith it's the 2nd season finale of Sacred Sites.  At 8:15 it's the time slot premiere of Monday Night Football.

Up at 9:00 on ABC it's a special Castaways, Food has the 5th season finale of Kids Baking Championship, CBS has the 2nd season finale of Salvation and on Cooking it's the 2nd season finale of Southern and Hungry.

Fox Show.  At 9:30 on Showtime it's the special Flying Blind & 9:31 has the time slot premiere of The Michael J. Fox Show while on CBS it's the 11th season premiere of Two & a Half Men which welcomes Amber Tamblin to the cast as Charlie's daughter.

It's Super Bowl Sunday!!!!

Starting at 3:00 on Animal Planet it's Puppy Bowl IX...I love this because those puppies are so damn cute!!  Then at 6:30 on CBS it's time for the big game, Super Bowl XLVII: Baltimore Ravens vs. the San Francisco 49ers taking place in New Orleans with Beyonce as the half time show.

At 10:00 on CBS after the game it's a special episode of Elementary and on Food it's a special episode of Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook Off.

Because of the football game there's pretty much nothing else on TV tonight which kind of annoys me since I could care less about football yet last week when the SAG Awards were on, everything was on & on Golden Globe night all of my favorite shows premiered...this seems a little backward.  Those of us who don't watch football do watch awards shows & shows like Girls & Revenge so I did want to thank HBO for premiering new episodes of their shows last night that will be rerun tonight in their usual slots.

Now, this slot is confusing...at 10:00 it's the 3rd season finale of Louie on FX, at 10:01 it's the series premiere of Elementary on CBS and then at 10:02 on ABC it's the 2nd season premiere of Scandal.  Then at 10:30 on Lifetime check out the series premiere of Prank my Mom.

CBS Fall Premieres

First up is a show called Elementary which is a modern day drama about Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Joan Watson played by Johnny Lee Miller & Lucy Liu.  These two are the best & crack the hardest cases in the NYPD.  Sherlock is originally from London where he has a checkered past & did a stint in rehab & Watson is his sober companion required by his wealthy father.  Dr. Watson lost her medical license a few years prior after losing a patient but it turns out that she has a knack for the whole detective thing & the two make quite a pair & learn to rely on each other.

Vegas starring Dennis Quaid & Michael Chiklis is a drama about real life former 60's Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb who is trying to keep the emerging gambling mecca under control against outsiders & crime while he'd rather just be maintaining his ranch & living a low key life.  Michael Chiklis plays a Chicago gangster who clashes with Lamb as he tries to make Vegas his own...so begins the battle between these two which is far more involved than I noted.  

Made in Jersey is a drama about a Jersey lawyer who is competing with Manhattanites to stand out at her New York firm.  With the help of her assistant & her big Italian family she is able to balance the blue collar roots she holds so dear with the insane & intense world of NY law practice.

Partners is a comedy starring David Krumholtz and it's about two best bros who are also business partners who have their bromance tested when one of them gets engaged.  Both are in good relationships except the difference is that one of them is gay & emotional while the straight one leads with his head.  The two are trying to keep their personal & business lives on the right track while still supporting each other & their relationships.
